Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss' first taste of recognition as a fiddler happened in 1990. She was just 19 years old, and got the Grammy in the category of Best Bluegrass Album. It was a feat of awe that was not just due to the fact that Krauss was young and also due to the fact that I've Got That Old Feeling was the third album in her library. Too Late to Cry was her first release, and was made available at age 16. Champaign Illinois born artist's age sixteen. Krauss had signed with Rounder Records, one of the best folk labels at the age of fourteen. And Krauss's accomplishments in such a short time and astounding virtuosity have consistently been in awe of her dedication to bluegrass. The oldest of the genres, but perhaps one of the least appreciated, of traditional American traditional forms of music. Krauss was a mature performer and producer who had gained experience from her time as a teenager sensation.
