Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - January 19, 2008) was an American film, theatre, television, and voice actress. Pleshette began her career in theatre, and appeared in films towards the end of the 1950s. She was later featured in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). She later appeared in various TV productions, mostly in guest roles, and was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January of 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish as were the children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage director in both the Paramount Theater and Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
