Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ she was able to make her debut as an amateur against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was only 18. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and then went on to a three-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in all the fights. Ladd returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen had previously defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking her revenge on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia is superior to Aspen who beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's record as an amateur was damaged. Ladd rebounded from her loss through defeat of Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and beat her, securing a first-round TKO. She won her next fight with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to Bantamweight for her subsequent fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen made use of her superlative fighting skills to defeat McGill and ended her fight via the third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy as a catchweight (138.1lb), because Ladd was not able to make Weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to the point that she finished her with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion via a unanimous vote. Her UFC debut came at UFC Fight Night 118 in which she faced Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina as she used a combination of ground and pound to defeat her by TKO in the 2nd round. She continued her dominance with a stunning victory in her subsequent fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd defeated Evinger by a punch in the first round and received a performance of the Night bonus. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent in a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first fight in a major tournament. Both the fighters put on a battle of back and forth that ended with Ladd winning via unanimous decision with both fighters claiming an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in less than 16 seconds and ended her win streak. She bounced back, and defeated Yana Kunitskaya during the third round at UFC in ESPN 7. The fight was with Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. It was a loss by unanimous decision.
